Job summary

Beautiful Recruitment in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Epitaxy Equipment Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing site in Northampton. The role focuses on supporting MOVPE/MOCVD equipment, performing maintenance, troubleshooting complex faults and driving continuous improvement in production yield and reliability.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering with a related degree or time-served apprenticeship.
• Minimum five years in a semiconductor wafer fabrication or epitaxy environment.
• Electrical qualifications (e.g., BS 7671 18th Edition) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily maintenance with Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams.
• Lead epitaxy equipment improvements and installations.
• Support procurement, commissioning and release to production of new equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MOVPE/MOCVD systems to maximise uptime.
• Handle gas cylinders and safety procedures including SCBA usage.
