Job summary

Ascot Group in London seeks a seasoned Environmental Underwriter to develop, underwrite and manage the Environmental account across the Syndicate, delivering sustainable growth aligned with the business unit’s strategy.

You will build guidelines, negotiate Site Pollution and Contractors Pollution Liability, and collaborate with colleagues in London and the US to drive profitability and client value while maintaining broker and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of underwriting experience.
• Experience with monoline Environmental products including Site Pollution and Contractors Pollution liability.
• Deep knowledge of Environmental insurance products, insurance regulations and the insurance industry.
• Strong collaborative and critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute on Ascot’s Environmental go-to-market business plan.
• Grow and scale a book of business within the Syndicate’s existing Casualty portfolio.
• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of the portfolio through underwriting and adherence to the strategic plan.
• Collaborate with Ascot Group colleagues in London and the US.
• Build underwriting guidelines, forms library and marketing materials.
• Underwrite and negotiate Site Pollution and Contractors Pollution Liability policies.
