Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking a Principal Technician Environment in Dumfries to support waste, recycling and disposal services across the region. This role sits in Band 9 with a salary of £40,470 to £43,437 per year.

You will help develop waste strategies, manage contracts and procurement, analyse performance data and ensure compliance with environmental legislation. The council offers a range of benefits including Vivup discounts, LGPS Scotland, Cycle-to-Work and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

Experience in waste management, environmental services, project delivery or a related technical field.
Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
