Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisor

Shirley Parsons is partnered with a leading construction company to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisor. This role is based in the beautiful town of Peterhead, Scotland, and supports one of the UK's top power transmission and distribution divisions. You'll collaborate closely with on-site teams, ensuring we meet environmental standards and contribute to long-term sustainability. What You'll Do:

* Be the Go-To Expert: Provide top-notch advice and guidance to our on-site teams on all things environmental across three bustling construction sites.
* Champion Sustainability: Craft and maintain local environmental management and sustainability plans that make a real difference.
* Lead by Example: Ensure we're always compliant with environmental legislation while coaching our teams on the best controls and mitigation measures.
* Build Strong Connections: Forge and nurture strong relationships with regulators, clients, and subcontractors, making sure everyone's on the same page.
* Be the Problem Solver: Investigate and report any environmental incidents to our Environment & Sustainability Project Partner, ensuring swift and effective action.

What We're Looking For:

* Experienced Professional: You've got a solid background in environmental management, ideally within construction or related sectors. Knowledge of environmental legislation, ecology, and groundwork is a big plus!
* Proactive & Driven: You're a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ready to tackle challenges head-on and deliver real environmental benefits.
* Great Communicator: Your excellent communication skills help you engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear advice on environmental strategy and best practices.
