Natural Resources Wales is seeking a Senior Officer to lead water regulation work across a multi-area region. You will provide expert technical advice, mentor colleagues and help shape compliance programmes and enforcement responses.

The role includes incident response duties and collaboration with partners to deliver NRW priorities. You'll work in a flexible, hybrid pattern, travel across locations, and drive improvements in water quality and regulatory outcomes, while supporting your own

Competenze

• Experience of project development and management.
• Overall understanding of sustainable natural resource management with focused expertise in NRW remit.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and public, influencing support.
• Good knowledge of regulatory and enforcement processes.
• Hold a current full UK valid driving licence (cars and vans).
• Welsh language level required: A2 (Essential).

Mansioni

• Represent NRW in discussions with partner organisations.
• Act as technical mentor and advisor to team members.
• Assist Team Leader in planning and delivery of compliance programme and enforcement.
• Collect evidence for enforcement purposes per defined procedures.
• Determine and implement appropriate intervention when non-compliance is found.
• Coordinate technical development of team members.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships and new projects to deliver NRW priorities.
• Support NRW Incident Management Service and incident response activities.
• Undertake health and safety duties relevant to the post.
• Commit to NRW Equality and Diversity policy and personal development plan (Sgwrs).
• Be flexible to perform other duties commensurate with grade.
