Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is seeking a leader to head its water quality modelling expertise and to develop a forward-looking programme that supports environmental protection and water quality improvements across Wales. The role offers hybrid working, with arrangements to be agreed near your home office.

You will collaborate across disciplines, engage with external stakeholders such as Welsh Government and the Environment Agency, and drive evidence-led environmental management.

Formación

• Extensive knowledge and experience in developing and applying water quality modelling for regulation and planning.
• Ability to interpret complex technical information for varied audiences.
• Experience coordinating with Welsh Government, Environment Agency and other partners.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage complex water quality modelling issues and related policy work.
• Provide statutory advice to Welsh Government and UK bodies as appropriate.
• Maintain ownership of NRW water quality modelling policy and integrity with government policy intent.
• Develop and maintain a professional network with academic institutions and industry experts.
• Commission assessments and audits of water quality models and plans as needed.
• Support evidence programmes and project manage evidence projects.
