We are searching for an experienced Senior Environmental Manager at our Bristol Temple Quay facility.
RPS is looking for a Senior Environment Manager to join our Environment & Infrastructure Team. You'll lead the management and delivery of key environmental projects across the UK, assisting clients in managing and obtaining environmental consents, including for national infrastructure schemes and renewable energy projects.
This is a pivotal role where you will facilitate the integration of consents and consenting activities into project delivery across design, assessment, and construction. The role involves varied daily activities, including working with clients, attending meetings, providing advice on consent applications and compliance, and collaborating with environmental teams on delivery schedules. You may serve as a project manager or director, taking responsibility for environmental team delivery, managing stakeholder interfaces, and overseeing project finances.
We seek a highly organized, excellent communicator who leads projects proactively. You should have strong knowledge of environmental requirements during major UK development and infrastructure projects, with a degree (or equivalent) in an environmental or related field. An MSc or other professional qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in leading environmental aspects of development projects, especially in construction post-planning and during detailed design and construction stages, is essential. Experience with delivering consents under hybrid bills, DCO, TWA, and TCPA regimes is highly desirable.
