Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Adviser to lead environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives and performance across a major infrastructure programme. You will work closely with project teams, regulators and stakeholders to drive best practice and maintain highest environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Environmental Advisor or Senior Environmental Advisor in construction or major projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance and EMS.
• Experience developing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
• Understanding permitting, monitoring and incident investigation processes.
• Experience conducting site inspections and environmental performance reviews.
• Excellent communication to engage with teams, clients and regulators.
• Membership of IEMA or working toward Chartered status; CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS.
• Degree in Environmental Management or related discipline advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the environmental lead for the project and support site teams daily.
• Undertake environmental assessments and identify mitigation measures.
• Develop and maintain CEMPs and project environmental plans.
• Secure and manage environmental permits and consents.
• Deliver environmental training and toolbox talks to teams and contractors.
• Review risk assessments and method statements for controls.
• Monitor environmental performance with site inspections and audits.
• Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support audits and ensure EMS compliance.
• Build relationships with clients, regulators and local authorities.
• Produce environmental performance reports and best-practice case studies.
• Support sustainability initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
