Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Leeds is seeking a senior EHS leader to oversee Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability at the site.

You will manage a team, ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement, and sustain ISO 14001 certification while partnering with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years of EH&S related experience.
• NEBOSH Certificate required; NEBOSH Diploma preferred.
• Medical device manufacturing or related industry with strong regulatory oversight.
• Technical experience in air, water, hazardous and medical waste, machine safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and chemical handling.
• Strong project management skills and knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with databases and internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site EHS&S plans to meet regulatory and corporate standards.
• Lead and coach EHS&S professionals and contractors; set objectives and development plans.
• Monitor and improve EHS&S risks, ensure continuous program improvement.
• Support external manufacturers, suppliers, and contractor programs with EHS&S requirements.
• Develop and execute EHS&S training strategies for all workers, including new hires.
• Maintain ISO 14001 certification and align site systems with the standard.
• Communicate business-related EHS&S issues to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
