Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes Leeds site seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability initiatives. You will manage the EHS&S program, coordinate with Plant Manager, and ensure regulatory compliance across the site.

The role includes developing objectives, dashboards, coaching staff, and implementing training to reduce risk and improve performance. Local on-site responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years EH&S experience.
• NEBOSH Certificate required.
• NEBOSH Diploma preferred.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or regulated industries desirable.
• Strong regulatory oversight knowledge across EH&S domains.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead EHS&S with Plant Manager for performance and compliance.
• Develop site EHS&S objectives, audits, and reporting dashboards.
• Manage EHS&S professionals and external consultants.
• Coach and develop EHS staff; support succession planning and budgets.
• Assess and mitigate EH&S risks; drive continuous improvement.
• Advise on regulatory changes impacting business objectives.
• Coordinate EHS training strategies for all staff.
• Maintain ISO 14001 certification across site management systems.
• Report to Regional Director of EHS&S and liaise with stakeholders.
• Lead site EHS&S teams and external contractors.
