We are seeking a Senior environmental professional to support our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in the London or South East Teams (London, Cambridge, Guildford, Reading, Basingstoke, Southampton). Our portfolio includes projects across sectors such as energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and Local Government. We need creative, dedicated individuals with a solid grounding in environmental design, assessment, and management throughout the project lifecycle.
As one of the UK's largest environmental consultancies, WSP engages in challenging, high-profile projects, from small developments to major infrastructure schemes. Our Environmental Management and Assessment Team manages environmental inputs across these projects' lifecycles.
Early engagement at concept and option stages helps shape projects that respect sensitive environments and communities. We support design development to consent, working closely with specialists and other professionals to develop proposals that enhance the environment and communities, aiming for benefits like improved habitats, cleaner air and water, and lower carbon footprints. We collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure practices meet commitments. This role suits proactive individuals eager to use initiative to advance their careers.
As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will work with technical specialists and design teams across sectors to manage environmental inputs to project designs and assessments, improving environmental performance across diverse projects.
The role is ideal for enthusiastic individuals wanting to influence, manage, and deliver environmental aspects of engineering projects across sectors including rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential developments, from feasibility through to planning, detailed design, construction, and handover/maintenance.
