Qualifications

A Little More About Your Role…

As an Assistant Consultant in the EIA team, you will support the management and delivery of environmental consultancy services to a diverse client base. Your responsibilities include coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, as well as undertaking broader environmental management tasks for various projects.

  • Assist project managers in coordinating site selection reports for offshore wind farms, communicating with technical specialists to develop mitigation measures.
  • Implement the latest approaches to digital EIA.
  • Coordinate land access for EIA surveys, such as archaeological investigations.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Assist in finalizing Environmental Statements for submission.

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline, emphasizing EIA and/or SEA.
  • Relevant postgraduate experience in a similar role within the UK or a comparable jurisdiction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with high computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • An understanding of health and safety best practices.
  • Experience or interest in conducting specialist environmental surveys (e.g., ecology, noise, air quality).
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally if required.
  • Knowledge of UK environmental and planning legislation related to EIA.
  • Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning, or a related field.
  • Practical knowledge of technical disciplines required for EIA.
  • Membership of IEMA or another professional body.
