A little more about your role…

As an Assistant Consultant in the EIA team, you will provide support to managing and delivering environmental consultancy services to a full range of clients. You will assist in coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, as well as undertaking broader environmental management tasks for various projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting project managers in the coordination of site selection reports for offshore wind farms and communicating with technical specialists to develop mitigation measures.
  2. Implementing the latest digital EIA approaches.
  3. Coordinating land access for EIA surveys, such as archaeological investigations.
  4. Contributing to stakeholder engagement strategies.
  5. Finalizing Environmental Statements for submission.

What we look for:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline with a focus on EIA and/or SEA.
  • Postgraduate experience in a similar role within the UK or a comparable jurisdiction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with high computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • An understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Experience or interest in environmental surveys (e.g., ecology, noise, air quality).
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally if needed.
  • Knowledge of UK environmental and planning legislation related to EIA.
  • Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning, or a related field.
  • Membership of IEMA or similar professional body.
