As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you'll be a trusted contact for clients, managing multiple projects and providing practical environmental advice.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental consultancy or environmental management.
• Good knowledge of UK environmental legislation and its practical application.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects or contracts.
• Experience working directly with clients and developing long-term relationships.
• Strong technical, communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental consultancy and advisory services across a range of client requirements.
• Interpret and apply complex environmental legislation, translating regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
• Manage multiple projects and contracts, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
• Act as a key contact for clients, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business.
• Prepare technical reports, project briefs, quotations and other client deliverables.
• Communicate technical information clearly and confidently to a range of stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to client needs and contribute positively to the overall client experience.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities, converting quoted work and contributing to individual and team targets.
• Maintain accurate project forecasting, utilisation and order book information.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team culture.

About You

We're looking for an experienced environmental professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, working directly with clients and taking ownership of their work.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in environmental consultancy or environmental management.
• Good knowledge of UK environmental legislation and its practical application.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects or contracts.
• Experience working directly with clients and developing long-term relationships.
• Strong technical, communication and report-writing skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience contributing to quotes, proposals or business development.
• A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Working towards Practitioner membership of ISEP (formerly IEMA) or another relevant professional body.

An ISO 14001 Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent professional accreditation would be desirable but is not essential.

Working Pattern

This is a home-based role, most of your time will be spent working remotely, with planned client meetings and site visits across the region, giving you flexibility while maintaining close relationships with clients.
