Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team. This role involves leading a team, providing and overseeing the production of technically sound deliverables for environmental projects, including reports, designs, calculations, and documentation. You will manage a medium-sized, locally based technical team, including acting as a people manager when required.

What we need from you:

  • Lead a team producing technically sound deliverables for environmental projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and client requirements.
  • Supervise junior staff undertaking similar tasks.
  • Prepare and check reports, designs, calculations, and documentation to meet quality, cost, and schedule criteria.
  • Oversee junior staff actions and take responsibility for their work.
  • Manage project budgets and control costs associated with deliverables.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers, attend meetings, and respond to queries.
  • Contribute to bids and business development activities.
  • Work on-site as needed, including out-of-hours work.
  • Act as a people manager when required.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Environmentalist or equivalent professional competency.

- Knowledge of environmental management, design, and specification processes.

- Proficiency with relevant software and analytical tools.

- Excellent communication skills and experience in risk assessment and hazard management.

- Ability to manage interfaces between disciplines and lead a team.

- Supervisory and people management skills.
