Job description

Lucion is a purpose-driven, beyond net-zero company, dedicated to protecting people from hazardous environments and protecting the environment from the impacts of people. Our name, Luc (to illuminate) / ion (to take action), reflects our mission: to shed light on challenges and take action.

We facilitate the sustainable development of clients across 12 key sectors worldwide, providing risk mitigation services through inspection, assessment, and advisory services. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 accreditations. We are the first choice for a safer and more sustainable future.

Culture and Values

The very nature of what we do ensures that our values — Integrity, Innovation, Sustainability, Trust, and Commitment — are embedded in our daily work. This has fostered a culture of purpose and fulfilment for our employees through engagement, motivation, and values-based roles.

When you join Lucion, you join more than just colleagues; you become part of a like-minded community with a shared vision to protect people and planet.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Environmental Transaction Services (ETS) team, providing commercially focused environmental and sustainability due diligence advice to a diverse range of clients supporting real estate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions across the UK and Europe.

You will work closely with the team to deliver a range of fast-paced technical projects relating to ground risk, flood risk, environmental compliance, and sustainability.

We are looking for an experienced environmental consultant with a broad skill set specialising in ground risk and environmental compliance. Some experience in sustainability is preferred. The successful applicant will be a strong project manager, client-focused, commercially aware, and excited to support the growth of the ETS service.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Manage and deliver multiple time-critical due diligence projects simultaneously, including multi-site portfolios within the UK and Europe.
  • Provide technical advice in the areas of ground risk and environmental compliance, with some understanding of sustainability.
  • Support junior consultants with coaching, quality assurance, and technical review.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; act as a key contact for day-to-day project liaison.
  • Contribute to business development activities including the preparation of fee proposals and tenders.
  • Support financial management of projects, including budgeting, forecasting and invoicing.
  • Oversee and coordinate suppliers and third-party specialists.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of team practices, bringing innovative and pragmatic ideas.
  • Demonstrate the behaviours, vision, and values of the business at all times.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree in a relevant subject (and preferably a secondary degree such as MSc, or a related qualification).
  • Membership of a relevant professional body; working towards or achieved Chartered status preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ground risk and environmental compliance; a working understanding of sustainability issues is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

What We Offer:

  • Life Assurance
  • Reward platform – 'Being Lucion', offering a wellbeing centre, cycle to work scheme, and discounts/cashback from over 800 retailers
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Supportive family policies – including enhanced parental leave
