Job summary

First Military Recruitment is partnering with a national construction business to recruit a Senior Environmental Advisor for its Workington depot. The role focuses on environmental assessments, permits, auditing, and site support to achieve ISO14001/BS50001 objectives.

The candidate will liaise with clients and authorities, develop environmental management plans, and deliver training and updates to the workforce. Permanent position with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of construction industry experience (ideally infrastructure).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake environmental aspect & impact assessments and develop CMPs and project-specific plans.
• Apply for environmental consents and permits and maintain a consents register.
• Review method statements and risk assessments to ensure environmental controls on site.
• Carry out environmental monitoring for air, water, noise or vibration as applicable.
• Conduct regular site inspections and investigate incidents with root-cause analysis.
