Job summary

First Military Recruitment, in partnership with a leading construction business, is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor based at the Workington depot. The role focuses on environmental assessments, permits, and performance reporting to support ISO14001 and BS50001 compliance.

The position involves site inspections, incident response, and collaboration with clients and authorities. A degree or equivalent and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in a similar construction role.
• Preferably degree-level qualification; Practitioner member of ISEP or similar.

Responsibilities

• Undertake environmental assessments and develop management plans.
• Apply for environmental consents and maintain a consents register.
• Review method statements and ensure environmental protection on site.
• Assist audits and support ISO14001/BS50001 commitments.
• Liaise with client, authorities, and stakeholders on environmental objectives.
• Prepare reports on environmental performance.
