Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Consultant - Environmental Assessment & Planning to join their specialist environmental planning team. You will lead environmental assessment projects, providing technical expertise across HRA, EIA, ecology and LVIA, while managing stakeholders and developing junior staff.

The role offers flexible remote options with opportunities to support local plans, planning applications and growth of the consultancy's technical services.

Formación

• Extensive experience coordinating HRA, EIA or LVIA.
• Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and environmental regulations.
• Excellent report-writing with robust, evidence-based assessments.
• Experience managing projects and liaising with statutory consultees.
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.
• GIS experience with QGIS or ArcGIS is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead delivery of environmental assessment projects and provide technical expertise across HRA, EIA, LVIA, ecology and LVIA.
• Prepare, manage and review high-quality statutory environmental assessments and reports.
• Serve as main contact for local authorities, statutory consultees and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UK planning legislation and environmental regulations.
• Support local plan assessments, planning applications and related projects.
• Mentor junior consultants and graduates; contribute to their professional development.
• Assist with project management, budgets, programmes and resource allocation.
• Contribute to bids and business development to grow technical services.
