Penguin Recruitment is delighted to support a world-class multi-disciplinary consultancy in recruiting a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant (EIA) to Manchester. You will lead environmental coordination on major infrastructure projects, oversee EIA workstreams and mentor a growing team of environmental professionals.

The role emphasizes high standards of environmental performance, bid support, client liaison and CPD.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science or related field.
• Chartered status is desirable for senior/lead roles.
• Experience leading EIA projects within consultancy.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver environmental work across multidisciplinary teams (EIA, options appraisals, environmental management).
• Line manage and mentor a team of environmental professionals.
• Champion high environmental standards within projects and influence design and delivery.
• Prepare clear, well-structured reports from multiple sources.
• Deliver outputs on time and within budget, reviewing others’ work.
• Build and manage client relationships and support bid development.
