Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile working role, with up to 50% UK-wide travel.

What you’ll do:

• Provide specialist direction and advice to EHS teams and Project leads for environment and sustainability to meet requirements.
• Support risk management by defining an environmental assurance regime including audit programs, ensuring effective practices through inspections and audits.
• Support the preparation of sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
• Maintain performance data and provide carbon management reports for customer and contract needs.
• Ensure regular reviews of key environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
• Assist Bid, Design, and Operational Teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout Project Life Cycle.

Who you are:

Experienced in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within relevant industries (Rail / Telecoms / Utilities / Construction).

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification - PIEMA
• ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
• Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
• Experience reducing environmental impacts through product lifecycle
• Managing complex technical and change projects
• Full driving license and flexible UK-wide travel
