Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to provide expert guidance to Site, Bid, and Project Delivery Teams, ensuring successful delivery of transmission projects across diverse regions. You will develop and maintain the EMS, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive initiatives that exceed global environmental commitments.

You will support the Head of Environment, advise on EMS compliance, attend meetings, and manage permit applications, while conducting audits to promote

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant discipline and practitioner membership of ISEP (or equivalent).
• Over 5 years of experience in an operational role within the construction or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and experience with regulatory bodies (e.g., SEPA).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint; valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Environment in enhancing the EMS to achieve Environmental Objectives and Targets.
• Advise Project Delivery and Site Management teams on EMS compliance and relevant legislation.
• Attend project and site meetings, providing insights on environmental issues and ensuring effective environmental actions.
• Manage applications for secondary environmental permits and ensure permit compliance via the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
• Conduct environmental audits and inspections to monitor compliance, prevent pollution, and promote resource efficiency.
