Job summary

ERSG is seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer to coordinate multi-discipline engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from optioneering through delivery, on major high-voltage transmission projects in the UK.

You will lead design maturity, manage risks and changes, chair coordination meetings, and ensure governance gates are met, with strong stakeholder engagement across engineering, project delivery and operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering coordination in large transmission/substation projects.
• Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Experience coordinating multiple disciplines and managing interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering inputs across the project lifecycle from optioneering to delivery.
• Chair regular engineering coordination meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Lead engineering risk meetings and manage design changes and quality.
• Ensure designs meet technical specs, standards and governance gates.
• Support governance documentation and works information packages.
• Escalate significant engineering decisions to senior engineers and managers.
• Maintain effective communication across engineering, project delivery, operations and contractors.
