Role Overview

Reporting into the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy. The role involves supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001 standards, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile working role with up to 50% UK-wide travel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide specialist guidance: Offer expert advice to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
2. Support risk management: Define and implement an environmental assurance regime, including risk-based audits, ensuring effective practices through inspections and audits.
3. Develop sustainability plans: Assist in preparing carbon reduction and sustainability strategies for contracts and bid responses.
4. Data management: Support the collection of performance data and the generation of carbon management reports for customers and internal use.
