Job summary

Caddick Construction Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team and lead environmental performance across the North West and Midlands regions. You will drive the accuracy of environmental data, support permits and licences, and guide site teams on compliant practices within a digitised reporting framework.

You will review environmental controls, contribute to registers and plans, and mentor colleagues in environmental matters while upholding our commitment to

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental controls and management systems in construction.
• Knowledge of waste, soils and recycled materials.
• Knowledge of permits, consents and licences for construction.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation.
• Experience with formal environmental management systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS card (desirable).
• Internal/external auditor qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assess and report on site environmental compliance and data collection via a digitised reporting system.
• Drive completeness and accuracy of environmental records (e.g. waste).
• Review the effectiveness of environmental control measures on site.
• Support reviews of site-level environmental controls and materials management.
• Provide guidance on permits, consents and licences.
• Assist with environmental incident investigations.
• Advise site teams on environmental legislation and requirements.
• Upskill site teams in environmental matters.

What You’ll Do

• Assess and report on site environmental compliance and data collection via our digitised reporting system


• Drive completeness and accuracy of environmental records (e.g. waste)


• Review the suitability and effectiveness of physical environmental control measures


• Support the ongoing review of site-level environmental controls including plans, aspects and impacts registers and materials management


• Provide guidance on permits, consents and licences


• Provide assistance with environmental incident investigations


• Provide site teams with guidance on environmental legislation and other requirements


• Supports the upskilling of site teams in environmental matters

Skills and Experience

• Strong experience of environmental controls and management systems within the construction Industry


• Experience of materials management, including around waste, soils and recycled materials


• Knowledge of permits, consents and licences relevant to the construction industry


• Good working knowledge of UK environmental legislation


• Experience of working with formal environmental management system


• Full UK driving licence


• CSCS card (desirable)


• Internal auditor qualification (desirable)
