Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor

Join Kier Construction as a Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor within our Transportation Team, supporting projects across London and Radlett. This role involves working on prestigious contracts with TKJV and Transport for London (TfL), with a planned project duration of 4 years, potentially extendable by an additional 4 years.

We offer a competitive salary up to £50,000 per annum, along with benefits such as enhanced sick pay, discounts, and a virtual GP service. Your role will focus on supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, advising on legal and company requirements, and ensuring project adherence to environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001:2015 through the application of Kier Group's management system, providing guidance on environmental consents, licenses, and exemptions.
• Conduct site inspections and audits on TKJV and TfL tunnels contracts, ensuring environmental legislation compliance and assessing schemes for environmental impacts and mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with operational teams to collect and report environmental data related to carbon emissions, waste, water, and material use.
• Promote environmental awareness, identify training needs, and deliver compliance training.
• Support sustainability commitments by producing case studies and capturing lessons learned and benefits.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have a degree in a relevant field, be members of IEMA or equivalent, and possess experience in environmental management within construction. Practical knowledge of ISO 14001, compliance inspections, and stakeholder engagement with statutory bodies is essential.
