Job summary

HelloKindred is seeking a senior product/platform manager to own and drive the lifecycle of enterprise middleware and observability platforms. You will define roadmaps, manage upgrades, and set standards for IBM MQ, ACE, ITX, and ITM/Instana.

The role requires governance leadership, incident management, and strong collaboration with engineering, security, and risk teams. Hybrid work arrangement (60% office / 40% home) is offered, with BPSS eligibility and a contract end date planned for May 31,

Qualifications

• Experience in product or service management for enterprise platforms, particularly middleware or observability platforms.
• Deep knowledge of IBM MQ and working knowledge of ACE, ITX, and observability tools such as ITM or Instana.
• Proven track record in platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, standardisation, deprecation, and debt management.
• Operational mindset across incident and problem management, capacity planning, resilience, HA, and DR.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a multi-quarter product roadmap for platform enhancements.
• Own platform lifecycle management including upgrades and deprecation decisions.
• Set and maintain standards for IBM MQ configurations, TLS/mTLS, authorization, and logging.
• Lead governance to reduce fragmentation and improve time-to-deliver for consuming teams.
• Track SLIs/SLOs, MTTR, change failure rate, and platform performance indicators.
• Lead major incident reviews and drive root cause elimination.
• Drive disaster recovery and high-availability readiness testing.
• Convert the roadmap into a prioritized backlog and delivery plan with engineering and SRE partners.
