Job summary

DeepL is building an Enterprise API platform, seeking an experienced leader to drive adoption and governance across global organizations. You will own end-to-end services, implement robust tests, and ensure four nines reliability while coordinating across multiple teams.

You will shape enterprise API strategy, leverage secure integrations, and guide data residency and auditability programs. The role blends backend excellence with strategic cross-team collaboration in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Enterprise IT and security admins are your primary users, requiring governance, cost control, compliance, and data residency.
• Strong API design fundamentals and system design are core to your work, with backend work dominating.
• Frontend work with React/TypeScript is a welcome plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Own features that convert enterprise interest into durable API adoption (usage insights, cost controls, governance tooling).
• Design controls for enterprise IT/security admins (roles, data residency, auditability).
• Own services end-to-end including on-call, reliability, tests, and monitoring to protect enterprise customers.
• Architect across the enterprise ecosystem, coordinating dependencies across teams.
