Job summary

Asda is seeking a Senior Manager for Engineering Standards & Asset Strategy (Refrigeration & HVAC) to lead the strategic direction of all engineering standards across refrigeration, HVAC and M&E systems. You will own asset models, drive lifecycle value and ensure compliance while supporting capital planning and supplier leadership.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of HFO and CO2 refrigeration systems.
• Experience with refrigeration, HVAC and M&E design.
• Strong governance, compliance and audit documentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead supplier and contractor teams.
• Experience in capital planning and business case development.
• Strategic thinking with cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and evolution of engineering strategy across refrigeration, HVAC and M&E.
• Define and maintain technical models and specifications for assets.
• Provide senior governance to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
• Oversee asset performance analysis for optimisation and cost efficiency.
• Lead technical input into capital planning for stores and refurbishments.
• Set technical direction for suppliers and contractors across projects.
• Assure installation, commissioning and handover to Asda standards.
• Champion adoption of innovative, low-carbon technologies.
