Client‑Direct – Managing Agent
Our client are a global property & real estate organisation, working across both commercial and residential sectors, and have a requirement for a Senior Engineering Manager to be based at a high profile development in the West London area close to Hammersmith / Shepherds Bush. This role will be the technical services lead for all functions and services within the building. Not only will the Technical Manager be an expert in a variety of engineering and technical disciplines, but they will also act as the technical ambassador for the development, its occupiers and customers.
Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining effective management of systems and procedures in the delivery and continuity of service of the Mechanical, Electrical, VT, Public Health and IT Infrastructure Services and Energy performance across the development, while protecting and enhancing the landlord's assets. The role also involves active involvement in the management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for all users of the Estate. Reporting into the Estate Director and working alongside the property and facilities team, the Senior Engineering Manager will deputise where necessary, provide strategic technical direction, strong leadership, operational planning and solutions covering MEP, VT operations and Energy Management, with a view to providing a world class service.
The Senior Engineering Manager will act as the Managing Agent interface for technical activity with the assistance and support from the company's central engineering team.
Minimum qualifications: an engineering discipline qualification (mechanical or electrical), ideally having served a full apprenticeship; a minimum of 5 years experience in a Senior Engineering Management role, or as a hard‑services Account Manager/Director within the facilities & maintenance sector.
While experience working on the client/property side rather than with an FM provider is preferred, the candidate could be open to a transition to a client‑side role.
