Job summary

Expedia Group in London seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Hotels.com Technology team. You will guide design and delivery across high-traffic services, own API design and data models, and mentor engineers in a fast-moving, high-quality environment.

You will stay technically hands-on, contribute to code reviews, and champion safe AI/ML adoption while partnering with product, design, data, and platform teams to drive value for travelers and partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience and 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience managing engineering teams with end-to-end ownership of services or domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team in designing, building, and operating highly available, performant, and secure customer-facing services.
• Stay hands-on: contribute to design reviews, code reviews, prototypes, and production debugging.
• Shape technical strategy and long-term architecture for owned areas.
• Grow engineers' skills across domains and stacks.
• Maintain quality and reliability with CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
• Mentor engineers and managers to build a high-performing, inclusive culture.
• Integrate AI/ML solutions that improve traveler outcomes and velocity.
• Coordinate delivery across workstreams to ensure timely end-to-end capabilities.
