Job summary

At Atlassian, DX is seeking a Software Engineering Leadership Advisor to join our team as a practitioner voice and executive-level advisor. The ideal candidate has scaled engineering organizations, guided AI‑assisted development, and earned respect from senior VPs and CTOs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large engineering teams or platform/DevEx groups.
• Proven ability to translate data into practical guidance for senior leaders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.
• Track record of speaking or presenting to C-suite or VP level audiences.
• Ability to build credible commentary around research findings.

Responsibilities

• Provide practitioner-grounded commentary on research results and data analyses.
• Co-author flagship reports, essays, and talks.
• Develop practitioner frameworks, playbooks, and maturity models.
• Lead workshops and executive briefings with DX's largest customers.
• Represent DX externally at conferences, dinners, and advisory conversations.
