Job summary

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery across a portfolio of Sellafield projects. You will coordinate design activities, manage internal and external resources, and ensure safety, quality and programme delivery from pre-construction to handover.

You will develop engineering strategies, govern design reviews, and lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Chartered status (or working towards) is desirable.
• Proven experience leading engineering functions within regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all engineering functions across a portfolio of Sellafield projects.
• Act as the principal engineering interface between BBK, clients and key stakeholders.
• Support bid submissions and work-winning activities, ensuring alignment with project strategy and contractual objectives.
• Lead and present engineering updates at customer, operational and business meetings.
• Develop engineering strategies, design management plans and design quality plans.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and subject matter experts to deliver project requirements.
• Ensure engineering documentation and work packs are completed on time, within budget and are buildable.
• Identify and implement Modern Methods of Construction (DfMA/PPMOF) solutions.
• Provide oversight of project planning, programme assurance, risk management and technical delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
