AFI-Rentals is recruiting a Senior Engineer at our Peterborough depot to oversee the workshop and lead a team of engineers. You will plan workloads, ensure machines are serviced, LOLER inspected, and repaired to schedule, while performing hands-on maintenance and inspections.

You will guide and support your team to complete tasks efficiently, partner with the hire office, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes leadership and a strong customer focus.

Formación

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• Competent in electro/hydraulic systems
• Experienced in fault-finding/diagnostics
• Able to communicate professionally and motivate your team
• Hold CAP (Competent Assessed Person) licence
• Sound mechanical knowledge in heavy plant LOLER background

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day running of the workshop and workloads for your team of engineers.
• Plan to ensure optimum availability of machinery for hire, with servicing, LOLER inspections, PDI, and repairs to schedule.
• Hands-on preventative maintenance and inspections of machines.
• Provide guidance to your team to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
