AFI-Rentals in Peterborough is recruiting a Senior Engineer to oversee the workshop, manage a growing hire fleet, and lead a team of engineers. The role requires strong planning, hands-on maintenance, and close collaboration with the hire office to meet targets and schedules.

You will be responsible for ensuring servicing, inspections, and repairs are completed on time, while maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• CAP licence for inspecting powered access equipment.
• Sound mechanical knowledge in heavy plant LOLER background.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and organising the day-to-day running of the workshop and workloads for your team of engineers.
• Forward planning to ensure machinery availability for hire, with servicing, LOLER inspections, PDI, and repairs to schedule.
• Hands-on preventative maintenance and inspections of machines.
• Lead and motivate the team to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
