Job summary

Bimplus is recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major water treatment project in Leeds. The role focuses on managing site activities, setting out, QA, and coordination of subcontractors to deliver the works on time and safely.

The ideal candidate will have civil/water infrastructure experience, be proficient with surveying tools (Leica/Trimble), and capable of mentoring junior engineers. 12‑month contract with weekly payments and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Experience leading site engineering on civil/water projects.
• Proven ability to set out and maintain engineering accuracy on-site.
• Ability to produce and review QA docs, ITPs and inspection records.
• Maintain accurate site records and as-built surveys.
• Coordinate subcontractors and support the Site Agent.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee site engineering activities across the project.
• Lead setting out and ensure accuracy throughout construction.
• Produce and review QA documentation, ITPs and inspection records.
• Maintain accurate site records, as-built surveys and engineering docs.
• Coordinate subcontractors and support Site Agent with daily operations.
• Review engineering drawings, specs and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.
• Mentor and support Site Engineers and Graduates.
