Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the Highways Development Control team. This specialist role focuses on delivering Section 38 and Section 278 highway agreements for new developments, ensuring highway works meet the Council's standards.
Working with developers, consultants and internal teams, you will assess Transport Statements, prepare agreements, and oversee delivery and adoption of highway works across the borough.

We're looking for an experienced highway engineer to join our Highways Development Control team in a specialist role leading on Section 38 and Section 278 highway agreements associated with new development.

Working closely with developers, consultants, contractors and internal teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring highway infrastructure associated with new developments is designed, approved and delivered to the Council's standards.

We're looking for someone with experience of highway design, development management, highway construction or developer-funded highway schemes who enjoys working collaboratively to solve technical problems.
Whether your background is in local government, consultancy or highway construction, if you have experience with highway agreements, highway design or the delivery of highway schemes we'd like to hear from you.
