Job summary

JRL Group Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Engineer with RC Frame experience to lead a major 46-storey project in the city. You will manage and mentor site engineers, coordinate temporary works, and ensure compliance through inspections and RFIs.

The role requires CSCS/SMSTS and a construction-related degree, with opportunities for progression into Project Management within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Construction degree preferred.
• Excellent communicator.
• Valid CSCS card & SMSTS; 1st Aid beneficial.
• Experience on sub- & superstructures, RC frames and basements.
• Aspirations to progress into Project Management.
• Ambitious and growth-driven.

Responsibilities

• Manage & lead a team of Site Engineers.
• Oversee materials and plant selection.
• Carry out and record quality inspections.
• Use Fieldview/Viewpoint and Topcon platforms.
• Drawing interrogation and RFIs.
• Support PM & wider construction teams.
• Act as Temporary Works Coordinator and issue permits.
• Resolve unexpected technical issues.
