Job summary

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a Senior Project Engineer Rail Track for contract work in Manchester or York. You will deliver assurance on track engineering excellence across rail projects, acting as the P-Way engineering technical contact with clients and subcontractors.

Role requires chartered status or working towards it, with at least five years of relevant experience and a proven track record in managing planning, design reviews to delivery of permanent way works.

Responsibilities

• Ensure track engineering on allocated contracts is technically compliant with standards.
• Act as the P-Way engineering technical contact with clients and sub-contractors to resolve assurance issues.
• Ensure integration of design, installation and testing to meet client specifications and maintain technical integrity.
• Carry out project risk assessments and assist Tendering with tenders.
• Attend engineering reviews for allocated contracts.

I am looking for a senior project engineer with a good p-way background, to deliver assurance on track engineering technical excellence for an engineering frameworks across the north of England.

Role

You will have previous experience working in a similar role within programmes from a track aspect. This role would suit an existing p-way engineer from design sided works

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the track engineering on allocated company contracts are technically compliant with the relevant Group, client & company standards.
• Act as the p-way engineering technical contact and liaison with clients and sub-contractors in order to resolve assurance issues.
• Ensure integration of design, installation and testing and that the end product meets the client specification and has technical integrity.
• Carry out project risk assessments. Assist the Tendering department in the preparation of Tenders.
• Attend engineering reviews as required for allocated contracts.

Essential requirements

• Be a chartered civil engineer (MICE) or working towards it.
• Have five years relevant experience..
• Proven experience of managing and controlling the planning, design reviews to delivery of permanent way works

Desirable

• Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have a degree in a relevant discipline such as rail Engineering.
