Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking a Senior Project Engineer Rail Civils for a contract role based in Manchester. You will deliver civil engineering technical excellence on an early-stage rail project in the north of England, applying robust design and risk management to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

You should be a chartered civil engineer (MICE) or working towards it, with at least five years of relevant experience and a track record of managing design reviews through delivery.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Proven experience in planning, design reviews and delivery of civil works.
• Ability to liaise with clients and sub-contractors to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure civil engineering on allocated contracts is technically compliant with standards.
• Act as the civil engineering technical contact and liaison with clients and sub-contractors to resolve issues.
• Ensure integration of design, installation and testing to meet client specifications and maintain technical integrity.
• Carry out project risk assessments and assist Tendering in the preparation of Tenders.
• Attend engineering reviews as required for allocated contracts.

I am looking for a project engineer with a good Rail Civils background, to deliver civil engineering technical excellence for an early stage engineering project in the north of England

Role

You will have previous experience working in a similar role within programmes from a Civil technical aspect. This role would suit an existing or previous senior engineer or DPE

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the civil engineering on allocated company contracts are technically compliant with the relevant Group, client & company standards.
• Act as the civil engineering technical contact and liaison with clients and sub-contractors in order to resolve assurance issues.
• Ensure integration of design, installation and testing and that the end product meets the client specification and has technical integrity.
• Carry out project risk assessments. Assist the Tendering department in the preparation of Tenders.
• Attend engineering reviews as required for allocated contracts.

Essential requirements:

• Be a chartered civil engineer (MICE) or working towards it.
• Have five years relevant experience..
• Proven experience of managing and controlling the planning, design reviews to delivery of civil works

Desirable:

• Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have a degree in a relevant discipline such as rail Engineering.
