Senior Engineer – Nuclear Plant Construction & Commissioning, Bristol

We are rapidly developing our teams to support the delivery of the next phase of New Nuclear Build. Join us in shaping the future of nuclear construction in the UK.

What you’ll be doing:

Our Nuclear New Build business is focused on supporting major stakeholders in the nuclear sector in achieving the new build renaissance. Many of our clients are entering a long-term construction phase and your role will be to provide support to these clients during what is a critical and exciting time for nuclear power in the UK.

Working as a Senior Engineer in our Nuclear New Build business, you will be focused on new nuclear power station design and providing engineering support whilst plant is being commissioned and operated in startup or test modes. A background in equipment engineering (such as Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, Electrical, and I&C) will be desirable. We are recruiting in the Bristol area where you will join a diverse team supporting the Hinkley Point C project.

The main aspects of this role include developing & delivering work pipelines, growing and deploying capable staff as projects progress from construction through commissioning and into operations, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulations. A strong safety culture aligned with nuclear and high hazard industry standards is essential.

What you can bring:

• Experience in Construction or Operational Support activities, ideally at operational Nuclear Power Plants (preferably PWR technology) or in other highly regulated industries.
• A credible safety-conscious professional, with behaviors and competencies supporting a strong safety and delivery culture.
• Experience in construction, commissioning, pre-operational, or operational environments with an awareness of international best practices.
• Experience in maintenance and outage environments for operational facilities, with a strategic view of best practices and work execution.
• Motivation to apply technical and operational expertise to develop skills supporting clients during late-stage nuclear projects and into operational phases.
• Willingness to travel and work at client sites, especially during commissioning and start-up activities.
