Senior Engineer, High Performance Data Systems

This role asks for an engineer who has built and run several backend systems from scratch and can own large data infrastructure projects from design through deployment and monitoring. A strong candidate brings solid distributed systems knowledge such as replication, partitioning, caching and consistency, plus fluency in a high level language and a statically typed one. The work centers on storage, indexing, querying and processing of large multimodal data, so comfort with ambiguity and careful reasoning about failure modes matter more than following a fixed spec.
