Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Section Engineer for a civil engineering contractor role on a long-term project in the UK. You will report to the Sub Agent and lead the engineering team and subcontractors for your section, ensuring RAMS are prepared and that ITPs meet industry standards.

You will monitor H&S concerns, rectify non-compliance, and maintain an up-to-date monthly programme. Relevant degree, CSCS, driving licence are expected; SMSTS and First Aid are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Section Engineer role.
• Highways experience is advantageous.
• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• CSCS certification is preferred.
• Driving licence required.
• SMSTS and First Aid beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering team and subcontractors for your section.
• Ensure RAMS are written before works commence.
• Ensure ITPs are recorded to industry standards.
• Monitor health & safety and address non-compliance promptly.
• Maintain an up-to-date monthly programme.

Job description

Do you have experience working as a Section Engineer in the civil engineering sector? Are you currently looking for your next challenge? Then read on as we may have the right role for you. Our client, a civil engineering contractor is looking to add a Section Engineer to their team and can offer an interesting and challenging project with long term work guaranteed. You will be responsible for a section of works and whilst reporting into the Sub Agent you will;

• Manage the engineering team and subcontractors of your section ensuring all RAMS are written before works commence.
• Ensure ITP's are recorded and are up to industry standard.
• Monitor the work to ensure that any H&S concerns and non-compliance with company policies are quickly rectified.
• Maintain an up to date and accurate monthly programme.

The relevant candidate will;

• Be able to display previous experience in a similar position. (highways experience is a bonus!)
• Ideally a Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• CSCS.
• Driving Licence
• SMSTS and first Aid (beneficial but not essential).
