Job summary

Luton Bennett is seeking a Senior Engineer (Maintenance) in Telford to oversee uptime and efficiency across manufacturing operations. You will balance 75% people management with hands-on technical work in an automated environment.

Lead PPM, RCA, and CI initiatives, while mentoring a multidisciplinary team and driving production improvements. Shift-based role with a 2-weekly rota and attractive benefits.

Senior Engineer (Maintenance)

Telford

£56,850 (£47,375 Base Salary + 20% Shift Allowance) + KPI Bonus + 31 Days Holiday (Including Bank Holidays) + Overtime (1.5x) + Product Discounts + Perkbox Benefits + Company Sick Pay + Free Onsite Parking + Life Assurance (4x Salary)

2 Shift Rota -

Week 1: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm, Friday 6am to 1pm

Week 2: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm, Friday 1pm to 8pm

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across manufacturing and production operations.

The Senior Engineer Role:

75% people management, 25% hands on

• Manage PPM schedules and reactive maintenance
• Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective measures
• Support the installation of new equipment
• Lead lean and CI activities
• Monitor downtime
• Lead and mentor multidisciplined team of six, including engineers, technicians and apprentices, offering coaching and guidance

The Senior Engineer Candidate:

• Experience in a senior/lead engineering role
• Automated production / manufacturing environment – PLCs, robotics, conveyors etc.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Hold an engineering qualification
