Job summary

Abatec Recruitment has a Permanent Senior Engineer opportunity with a leading Teir 1 civil engineering contractor delivering long-term water infrastructure projects across South Wales.

With a significant pipeline of work secured through the current investment period, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join an established team and work on a range of complex civil engineering and water schemes.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/ONC in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in heavy civil engineering projects.
• Water/wastewater or utilities project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, standards and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering leadership across your section of works.
• Manage and coordinate engineering activities on site.
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies.
• Review designs and identify potential technical issues before construction.
• Promote a strong culture of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Liaise with designers, subcontractors and site management teams.

Abatec has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Senior Engineer to join a leading Teir 1 civil engineering contractor delivering long-term water infrastructure projects across South Wales.

With a significant pipeline of work secured through the current investment period, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join an established team and work on a range of complex civil engineering and water schemes. The successful candidate will join a project delivery team responsible for the engineering management of schemes across the South Wales region with a particular focus of schemes along the M4 Corridor.

As Senior Engineer you will:

• Provide technical and engineering leadership across your section of works
• Manage and coordinate engineering activities on site
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies
• Review designs and identify potential technical issues before construction
• Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Liaise with designers, subcontractors and site management teams

Our client requires a Senior Engineer with:

• Degree/HNC/ONC in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience within heavy civil engineering projects
• Previous experience working on water/wastewater or utilities projects (preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Salary/Benefits:

• £50,000 - £60,000 Depending on experience
