Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Senior Engineer for an on-site role reporting to a Site Agent. The project involves the Sturry Link Road in Canterbury, including a 550‑metre road and a 250‑metre viaduct over the Great Stour River and the railway line.

You will be responsible for all engineering duties, producing RAMS, temporary works briefs, ITPs, progress updates, NCRs, TQs and Early Warnings, ensuring the team delivers to schedule and safety standards.

Qualifications

• MEng/BEng/Foundation Degree/BTEC/Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of varied site experience in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of construction management required.
• Business awareness and leadership qualities expected.

Responsibilities

• Produce RAMS, temporary works briefs, ITPs, weekly progress and planning updates, NCRs, TQs and Early Warnings.
• Senior Engineer responsible for all engineering duties and ensuring the engineers under their control complete theirs.
• Oversee site activities for the Sturry Link Road project in Canterbury.
