TLG Infrastructure, a leading Main Contractor in London, is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead engineering delivery on demolition, basements, and structural alterations across multiple live projects.

You will design and manage temporary works, oversee site teams, coordinate with clients and consultants, and develop practical solutions to complex construction challenges. This on-site role emphasizes safety, constructability, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Experience delivering complex construction and demolition projects.
• Knowledge of temporary works design and site safety.
• Strong coordination with clients, consultants and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery for demolition, alterations, basement construction and temporary works.
• Develop engineering solutions for complex sequences.
• Plan and oversee construction sequences while maintaining structural stability.

• Review drawings, calculations and specifications for constructability.

TLG Infrastructure are currently recruiting Senor Engineer's to work for a leading Main Contractor operating multiple projects in London.

They will deliver complex projects including RC, new structures/ alterations, basement construction, groundworks and temporary works.

Our client have secured a number of projects starting in 2026 which is why they are increasing their engineering team and able to offer 12 to 24 months on their projects.

Key responsibilities as Senior Engineer:

• Lead engineering delivery for cut and carve demolition, structural alterations, basement construction and temporary works.
• Develop practical engineering solutions for complex construction and demolition sequences.
• Design, review and manage temporary works, including propping, shoring, needling and temporary stability systems (bonus having TWC or TWS however not essential)
• Plan and oversee construction sequences, ensuring structural stability is maintained throughout the works.
• Provide technical support on site, resolving engineering issues and responding quickly to construction challenges.
• Review structural drawings, calculations and specifications, identifying design conflicts and constructability issues.
• Manage engineering interfaces between permanent works, temporary works, demolition and new construction.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to coordinate engineering requirements and agree technical solutions.
• Identify and manage engineering risks, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Management of Site Engineers ensuring work load is set and reviewed accordingly
