Job summary

TLG Infrastructure are recruiting a Senior Engineer to lead engineering delivery on multiple London projects for a leading Main Contractor. You will oversee demolition, basements, alterations and temporary works, coordinating with clients and site teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

The role focuses on designing and reviewing temporary works, solving complex construction challenges, and managing site engineers to maintain program and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Lead engineering delivery for cut and carve demolition, structural alterations, basement construction and temporary works.
• Develop practical engineering solutions for complex construction and demolition sequences.
• Design, review and manage temporary works, including propping, shoring, needling and temporary stability systems.

• Lead engineering delivery for cut and carve demolition, structural alterations, basement construction and temporary works.
• Develop practical engineering solutions for complex construction and demolition sequences.
• Design, review and manage temporary works, including propping, shoring, needling and temporary stability systems (bonus having TWC or TWS however not essential)
• Plan and oversee construction sequences, ensuring structural stability is maintained throughout the works.
• Provide technical support on site, resolving engineering issues and responding quickly to construction challenges.
• Review structural drawings, calculations and specifications, identifying design conflicts and constructability issues.
• Manage engineering interfaces between permanent works, temporary works, demolition and new construction.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to coordinate engineering requirements and agree technical solutions.
• Identify and manage engineering risks, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Management of Site Engineers ensuring work load is set and reviewed accordingly

Job description

TLG Infrastructure are currently recruiting Senor Engineer's to work for a leading Main Contractor operating multiple projects in London.

They will deliver complex projects including RC, new structures/ alterations, basement construction, groundworks and temporary works.

Our client have secured a number of projects starting in 2026 which is why they are increasing their engineering team and able to offer 12 to 24 months on their projects.
