Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major multidisciplinary FEED and Detailed Design projects within the Energy unit across the UK and Europe. You will drive delivery of civils, cables, substations, protection & control, and secondary systems, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.

Ideal candidates hold recognised PM qualifications, a relevant degree, and a proven track record in the energy sector, with strong communication and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Recognised project management certifications (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, PMP).
• Degree in engineering or project management, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven success delivering energy sector projects for a consultancy, designer, contractor or client.
• Knowledge of change management, risk management, scheduling and cost control.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multi-disciplinary design projects (civils, cable, substation, protection & control, secondary systems).
• Ensure delivery within scope, schedule, quality and budget.
• Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and internal teams.
• Establish clear communication across project teams.
• Take ownership of problem-solving and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
• Control internal and external commercial aspects, including NEC contract administration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks for client and business.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing across project activities.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently to meet tight deadlines.
