Job summary

J Murphy & Sons is recruiting a Project Director to lead energy sector projects on the ETP Framework, covering the South West and Wales. The role focuses on safe, timely delivery to quality and financial targets, with line management of project teams and strong client collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have HV transmission experience (132kV–400kV) or major civil projects, plus a background in senior management and solid commercial awareness to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering HV transmission projects or major civil projects.
• Proven track record in a Project Director/Senior Managerial role.
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding.

Responsibilities

• Ensure scope of works is delivered safely, on time, to quality standards, and within financial targets.
• Line management of project managers and senior team oversight.
• Develop and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships and manage cost forecasts.
• Oversee resource planning, procurement support, and programme coordination.
